Invisalign is a patented approach to straightening teeth that differs from traditional braces. Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible to others, yet they provide results that are faster and more convenient than traditional braces.
Dr. Emma is a Premiere Invisalign Provider and a certified Invisalign Orthodontic Specialist, which means unlike other providers, she is specially trained to supplement Invisalign with traditional orthodontic techniques. Dr. Emma is in an elite group of orthodontists who have been granted Premier Provider status, and is among the top 5% of Invisalign Certified Specialists in North America. In short, when you see Dr. Emma for your Invisalign service, you are getting the best, most experienced care available in the country.
Here are some other key points about Invisalign:
- Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth.
- Invisalign uses a series of series of clear, removable, and virtually invisible custom-molded aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets.
- It has been proven effective in clinical research and in orthodontic practices nationwide. Approximately 6% of all U.S. dentists are certified to treat patients with Invisalign®. We are pleased to be part of that auspicious group.
- Invisalign takes less treatment time than traditional braces, and are comfortable to wear. They remove easily when you eat, brush, and floss.
How Does Invisalign Work?
- You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.
- As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position we have prescribed.
- You’ll visit our office about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
- Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.
